Have you noticed that MSTA’s
posts aren’t showing up in your Facebook newsfeed lately?
As usual, Facebook has made
some changes and now requires "liked" pages, like ours to pay to
promote our content to all of our fans. If we don’t promote our posts, only
about 10 percent of those who like us receive our updates.
You can make changes to your newsfeed so you see all MSTA’s posts. Go to our
Facebook page and hover your mouse over
the "Like" button (if you've already liked us, it will say "Liked"). In the pop-up select Add To
The Interest Lists.
Then create an interest list
by clicking New List.
In the window that comes up
next, make sure Missouri State Teachers is selected (with a check mark and
outlined in blue) and click next.
Now you’ll need to name your
list (MSTA, Fan Pages, whatever you’d like!) and select who you’d like to be
able to see the posts from us (Public – everyone, Friends – just your friends,
Only Me – just you. We suggest friends,
which was the original default).
Now, you can see all MSTA posts by clicking on Interests on the
left hand side of your news feed (about two-thirds down the
home page).
You can use the above instructions for any
Facebook page you care about, so you can continue seeing all the posts from the
pages you like.
Please let us know if you
have any questions.
