Student Art Meets the U.S. Postal Service

Here is a great opportunity for budding young artists, and it serves as a school fund-raising activity too.  A Hartford, Connecticut, company called ArtStamps will print original student art work on U.S. postage stamps.  A sheet of 20 stamps costs the buyer $20, but $7.80 pays the postal service and $3 goes back to the school sponsoring the program.  What a unique way for students to display their talents to someone other than Mom and Dad!

This company is launching fund-raising programs soon.  They just completed their pilot project this past school year.  See this website for more information.
